Credit can be earned for courses taken
at IPEE, but these credits are only good if your institution will accept
them. If your school does not have an active program with IPEE it is imperative
that you check with your department head or professor BEFORE attending
classes. Usually it is just a matter of providing detailed program descriptions,
or actual syllabi, CV's of our professors, etc.
If your department
head requests a copy of our syllabi, and detailed programs descriptions,
just let us know and we can either email them or mail them directly to
your host school.
Credit is usually
earned by; 1 credit hour for each 15-20 classroom hours. Some institutions
grant extra credit for cultural experience or for projects such as "critical
thinking" papers.
An original official
copy of your transcripts with grades, signed by the IPEE Education Administrator,
will be sent to the registrar's office of your school upon completion of
your program.
If your home school
does accept IPEE courses (which is your best situation), you may have to
pay a nominal application fee.
If your school is
unable to grant credit, postgraduate and undergraduate credit is available
through US accredited institutions also. A list of these schools will be
sent to your department head along with contact information if requested.
